The author story
It started in the quiet hours after a baby was born.
The Slice Is Right grew from late-night notes, family dinners, and one question that kept making pizza feel new: what if?
This story is the brand's human center. It should make the cookbook feel personal, not merely clever.
Origin / Family
Ideas became recipes. Recipes became gatherings.
After the author’s first child was born, the quiet hours became a place to write down pizza ideas. A favorite meal. A street-food craving. A barbecue plate. A breakfast-for-dinner thought. A dessert that might actually work on a crust.
Over time, those ideas became recipes. The recipes became family dinners. The family dinners became a way of gathering people around something playful, practical, and worth sharing.
The First Edition was finished as the author welcomed a third child, which gives the book its center of gravity: family, experimentation, confidence, and the belief that pizza night can become a creative ritual.

The brand is not about perfection. It is about learning the foundations well enough to make the next slice yours.

The cookbook is the first major product. The larger brand grows from the same family-table idea.
Long-term mission
Make pizza night more creative, more confident, and more personal.
Books, guides, gear, apparel, children’s products, community, and future courses should all point back to the same feeling: start with a crust, ask what if, and make something worth sharing.
